A Moment of PeaceThe sky gets darker and uglier. It's lost its warm, beautiful glow. As the clouds gather around, And the wind blows fast, And everybody else hides, I stay out here, Waiting for the inevitable And the obvious. And the rain falls, Gently and smoothly. The breeze's not too cold, So are the raindrops. I don't care for the others, Who tell me to find some cover, To protect myself from the rain. It's a rare moment for us.
